In 2005, year in which the National Coach Museum celebrated its first centennial, was held the first meeting of the Group of Friends of the National Coach Museum (Grupo de Amigos do Museu Nacional dos Coches - GAMNAC), being its statutes approved in August 2006.

The GAMNAC, in accordance with its statutes, aims to collaborate with the National Coach Museum in its promotion to the public and to enrich its collection. To this end the GAMNAC develops activities such as conferences, courses, congresses, exhibitions and editions, and promotes the purchase or donation of objects to the Museum.

What are the benefits of being part of the GAMNAC:

- Free admission in the Museum (remember that admission is free up to 14 years);
- Free admission in events organized by the Museum;
- Free admission in museums and palaces of IMC;
- Free admission in the Museum of Contemporary Art Serralves (from 2008);
- Access to the Library;
- Access to the Historical Research service;
- 20% discount on publications and products of the Museum’s Shop;
- 15% discount (only for institutional events) over admissions of space rental;
- Information of the activities to be performed by the Museum.

How much (minimum values):

Can be partners (effective, benefactors or honorary) individuals over sixteen years old (Portuguese or foreigners) and public bodies, of a public, cooperative or private nature.

Person Singular:

Effective: 25 €
Benefactor: € 125
Honorary: free from payment of quota

Each member will receive a membership card.

Collective people:

Benefactors: 250 €

Honorary: free from payment of quota

Each member will receive 3 membership cards on behalf of the legal person and able of being used by different people, when properly accredited.
