It was constructed in 1777 for the marriage of Maria Francisca, sister of Queen Maria I, to her nephew Prince José.
The coach has a closed body with glass windows.
The carved woodwork is in Rococo style with volutes, shell shapes and plant elements.
The panels are decorated with paintings attributed to Pedro Alexandrino de Carvalho (1730 -1810). The interior is covered with velvet over a base of greenish satin decorated with large flowers. | | |  | |
